Earth is calling—can you hear Her?
The environmental issues we face causes me great anxiety or agida, as my Italian grandmother used to say.
I work actively to focus on the positive things happening around cleaning-up-the-mess that our ancestors have left in their wake. But sometimes I get discouraged—really discouraged. Which is why our conversation with author and environmental activist Ellen Gunter was so uplifting! Ellen is on the front lines of the environmental movement for change and raising awareness. Her book, Earth Calling: A Climate Change Handbook for the 21st Century, is a spiritual alarm clock for raising awareness about Earth’s dire situation right now. Listen and be inspired to heal the earth.
Talking about a solution is so much better for this sensitive soul than focusing on the magnitude of the issues at hand. And shifting our focus is going to be how we will solve, heal and transmute the issues that face us on Earth right now. Remember—our feelings have an energetic pattern that moves out into the world and we must be conscious of what we send out.
The Peoples Climate March, over 400,000 people deep, was a positive march to let our government know that we desire change around the environmental practices on our Mother Earth. Four hundred thousand! In other words, we’re not alone. There’s an awakening taking place and we’re part of it.
We don’t have to be an environmental activist like Tim DeChristohper to make a difference.
My dear soul sister, Jillian Kelly, owns the Asheville Bee Charmer to help the bees. This is her way of supporting Mother Earth and raising awareness around the chemical warfare that our Earth is under. Start small, but do start now. Your effort, your vibration, your intentions help awaken the slumbering masses who do not believe in the urgency. That we must act now.
Can you imagine people working together for the greater good of our Mother Earth and our own humanity like John Lennon did? I can…
