THIS is the podcast I’ve been wanting to do all along, but was a bit too chicken to expose this soft, well-loved, well-worn interior of my spiritual life. I’d like to think I’m doing this now because I’m more enlightened, but more likely it is because I’m older and don’t really give a hoot what y’all think of me anymore… Well that AND I am doing it with my life-long spiritual seeker soulmate and BFF, Julie Bond Genovese. She’s more courageous than I am and put her heart on her sleeve a few years ago when she wrote her beautiful and truly inspiring memoir, Nothing Short of Joy. Now I’m just tagging along, riding the waves clutching at her coat tails. What an awesome ride.

It all started a few decades ago when we became besties. Yes, that is a picture of us in first grade! There we are in that little yellow halo, and of course, I’m the one behind Julie, who is looking bored out of her mind. I’m giving a skeptical glance at our friend Liz, but those pigtails, right? We were adorable.

So, we started this conversation, this mutual pondering, this spiritual adventuring just about 30 years ago now (of course, we were just babies then). I’m hoping if you haven’t listened to the podcast you will, then you will have a bit more background.

Our hope is to bring you into the conversation. We hope you will be amused and inspired by something you hear and that it will trigger some stretching and seeking on your part too.

We do NOT claim to be gurus of anything, this is NOT a religious podcast and we have NOTHING to gain or lose here. Our primary goal is to spread a little more light around this plane of existence. We hope you will listen, smile, consider new things and maybe even feel a bit of healing from time to time. Most of all, we wish you to take any good vibes you acquire from this podcast and share it unabashedly with the world — the vibes we mean, like paying it forward — but it’s totally ok to share the podcast too!
