The consensus among climate change scientists is that climate change is not only real, it’s caused by human activity.
The good news is that people are slowly jumping on board with the fact that climate change is real, but many still don’t buy into the fact that humans are behind it — 48 percent of Americans don’t rate global warming as a threat (militant groups like ISIS; and North Korean and Iran’s nuclear are viewed as larger threats).
For those who deny—or are on the fence about—humans’ negative impact the climate, Katharine Hayhoe asks, “What if (human-caused) climate change IS real?” in this episode of The Green Divas Radio Show…
Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: Climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. The following is a partial list of these organizations, along with links to their published statements and a selection of related resources. ~ NASA
