Preparing for Hurricane Irene

• Fill up baggies with ice and load up freezer or cooler
• Fill up Bath tub with water
• You can always fill any bin, bucket or bottle with water
• Buy fresh fruits and veggies
• Almond, soy or rice milk lasts alot longer than regular milk
• Make sure to have some entertainment, books or games etc. to keep busy
• Check with your local manicipalities on how to dispose of all the extra batteries you may be using
• Bring in outside solar-powered garden and spot lights – great idea from listener Dudley in Morris Township
• Take down flags and put away outdoor furniture, planters, etc.
