Even with GD Mizar out of town, we had a very full show featuring the truth about the Tesla battery fire; delicious fall foods; a college student that may have a way to biodegrade plastic; and a wonderful interview with Marion Nestle.

GD Gina does a great Foodie-Phile segment focusing on 5 great foods in the fall: pumpkins, persimmons, pomegranates, brussels sprouts, beets. She provides a little history and of course recipes, including GD Meg’s favorite beet recipes.

Devan Bennion, a student at Brigham Young University, started an innovative company called Invoroment, that may have created a way to biodegrade plastic in a couple of years, rather than 500 – 1000 years.

Mizar created a wonderful way to upcycle all those various chocolate candies and gifts that accumulate into a new form of chocolate that includes healthy, dark, organic, fair trade chocolate – YUM!

Green Diva Gina got some help w/ this excellent segment from David Wolfe, who was our guest green dude in the studio for this one. They shared a lot of great information (some surprising) and GDs Meg & Mizar ate chocolate . . .
