Thinking green car modifications—making fuel go further
I was recently looking to trade in our beloved old Nissan Pathfinder which, after 20 years of plain sailing, is starting to show rapid signs of aging—not too unlike its owner!
This is when I discovered just how much has changed in the motor industry since I was last hunting for a vehicle. The most notable difference by far was the improvement in fuel efficiency. I thought I was doing pretty well getting 15 miles per gallon out of my four wheeled friend, so it came as quite a shock to learn that you can now purchase a Ford Focus Electric and enjoy no less than 110 miles per gallon! This sounded fantastic but I had one problem…I couldn’t bear to part with the car I’ve grown to know and love.
If you’re attached to your old faithful like I am, but want to improve your fuel consumption, why not follow some of the vehicle modification tips provided by in the infographic below.
