The most powerful way to raise the vibration of our world is to fully honor who we came here to be.
I had the privilege of working with Samantha Jones when she directed my last solo show You Can Get There From Here. Chatting with her on my podcast was nothing less than exhilarating!
This woman does it all: She directs, acts, coaches improv, and writes her own solo shows. And there’s no better person to talk with about celebrating who you are than Samantha. She helps people find the hilarious in the mundane and recognize the Divine in their own stories. I went to her with a fully formed script and a few performances under my belt, but I knew something was missing.
Samantha saw that the missing piece of puzzle was me! She said to me “I watched 20 minutes of your (videotaped) performance and you were like a lion in a cage. Back and forth, back and forth on stage, ready to explode. I knew just how to help you!” She fully embraced my power and helped me own it. The fully dynamic and lightning energy me. My performance and message became all that I had dreamed it could be!
The brutality of my teen life shifted me into someone who had to survive.
I believe that we come into this world excited to be Who We Are, and then events occur that either make us forget or make us not want to be exactly who we came to be.
For me, it was both. The brutality of my teen life shifted me into someone who had to survive, and not being me seemed the safest way to do just that. Sigh. Looking back, I realize that even when I was trying not to be me, pieces came bursting out, like singing at the top of my lungs to my favorite song everywhere I went.
When I left the suffocation of the small town I lived in, I began searching, seeking, and questioning the things I had been told about who I was. I explored the psychic and spiritual world and found a place where I belonged. Those people weren’t overwhelmed by my passion, confused by my psychic gifts, or blown away by my visions. Then the world became a different, accepting, and more loving place to be.
I know that being our authentic self is the best way to honor the Divine. There is only one you on this planet. This is the only time you will be this You—so dive in and celebrate! Enjoy our conversation below…
